Privacy policy

Studio Space Ballard is a small office building. We collect the minimum needed to answer your questions and show you a room, and we don't sell or share it. Effective September 6, 2026.

What we collect

What you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you tell us about the space you're looking for, when you call, text, or email.
Call and text records. Our phone number runs on Grasshopper, which keeps a log of calls, voicemails, and text messages to and from 206-686-8333.
Website visits. This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page people use. It sets cookies and records your approximate location and device type. It does not know who you are.

How we use it

To answer your questions, schedule a walk-through, and, if you rent a room, to manage your lease.
To reply by text when you text us or ask us to.
To see whether the website is working.

We don't send marketing. If you asked about a room and it's taken, we might let you know when another opens up, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

Text messaging terms

Consent. By texting 206-686-8333, or by giving us your mobile number and asking for a text reply, you agree to receive text messages from Studio Space Ballard about your inquiry. Consent is not a condition of renting.
What we send. Replies to your questions, walk-through confirmations, and lease-related notices, written by a person. How many depends on the conversation. No promotional campaigns.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
Stopping. There is no automated system on the other end of this number. It's Craig, texting from his phone. If you'd rather not get texts, say so in the thread or reply STOP, and you won't hear from us by text again. You can still call or email.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Sharing

We don't sell your information. We don't share it with anyone for their marketing. In particular, mobile phone numbers and text-messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only people who handle your information are the services we use to run the building's phone, email, and website: Grasshopper for calls and texts, Google for email and analytics, and DigitalOcean, which hosts this site. Each handles data only on our behalf. We would also disclose information if the law required it.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and text conversations stay in our phone and email records for as long as we're talking, and generally no more than two years after. Lease records stay for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

Ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing rent@studiospace.net. We'll do it unless a lease or the law says we have to keep something. You can block Google Analytics with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes up here with a new effective date.
